Ode to a Wet Grinder
Peugeot, in their infinite wisdom and slow but steady genius, has a few nice salt grinders developed especially for wet salts such as sel gris. The holidays landed a particularly cool model in my posession, and after some use, I feel it incumbent to write an Ode.
Ode to a Wet Grinder
Above a scape of winter veg
The spiraling shim churns:
Sharp jagged edges fractalize and
Resolve to a silken sheen
As my Peugeot mill whittles
To a fine sliding desert brine
The once rocky stuff that was
Virgin sel gris de Guerande.
